FIRM was a 1-year, USD 5 million project funded by USAID supporting county strategic investment planning; mobilized resources for water, agriculture and energy projects; and stimulated domestic financing to these sectors through use of the USAID Development Credit Authority (DCA) guarantee. The FIRM project operated in ten counties in Kenya. As a lead subcontractor, BfA developed and implemented county investment strategies, provided tailored county workshops on governance, gender equality mainstreaming, investment proposal development and community outreach and education, developed five-year strategic plans, developed infrastructure investment proposals, and monitored and evaluated outcomes.
