He is a founding partner and Vice President of Utility Finance at BfA and brings more than 20 years of experience in business development, credit structuring, portfolio management, and loan workouts. He is an expert in the full range of financial services for micro-enterprises to corporations. He has worked at Barclays Bank, Equity Bank and Family Bank in senior credit and risk positions. He has undertaken due diligence on banks in Kenya and Tanzania on behalf of equity investors and advised on the lending process, loan management process, quality of loan book and gap analysis. For the past six years, Mr. Wahome has worked in the Kenyan and Tanzanian water sectors on financial structuring of water infrastructure investments. In this role, he supports national and county level governments and utility companies with water investment initiatives and strategies that are commercially viable and bring about economic and social benefits.
